Home Theater Pictures : The setup is nicely contained in a “Latitude” media stand from Crate and Barrel.

Sharp Aquos 42″ 1080p LCD.
This was one of the best-reviewed units I found in research. The Mac Mini won’t play HD content off a disc, but downloaded content looked pretty sweet. I’ll add an HD player later.

Yamaha YSP-1100.
This is a home theater in a box. ONE BOX. Pretty darn cool. Inside is a surround receiver and 42 drivers that “steer” the sound to make surround. Works pretty well, and easy installation!

Mac Mini
The basic 1.66Ghz Core Duo model, with the standard 512M RAM that comes with it. It’s running Media Central from Equinux, which is set up to run at startup.
The mini is sitting on 1Tb of external storage, which holds movies and music.

SVS PB10-NSD
The amazing “little” sub (it weighs 75lbs). I have a bigger, older SVS in “big” HT, and it really rules. Turns out this little guy does, too.

Logitec DiNovo Edge
bluetooth keyboard/touchpad for controlling the Mac Mini on occasion. Works great, but super-expensive.

Home Theater Pictures: Room measures approximately 14ft x 28ft with 8ft ceilings at the back half and 9ft on the front half. Independent A/C system. Remote dimmable lighting. Sound controlled walls and ceiling. 7.1 Surround Sound. 120? screen with 1080p projector. Blu-ray and HD DVD set up.
